Alexandria City Manager James F. Parajon appointed Tarrick McGuire, a man formerly of Texas, as the new Chief of Police for the Alexandria Police Department.
McGuire was sworn in on December 11, 2024.
Alexandria Police Department's former Chief, Don Hayes, left the agency months earlier that year.
