Internal Affairs data shows that beginning on April 17, 2022, Danich was subject to investigation for "untruthfulness and violation of department policy." The investigation continued for nearly three weeks until on May 5, 2022, Sergeant Meeks concluded the inquiry. In a rare occurrence, WPD deemed the complaint against Danich to be "founded in part."

Mawyer was named in a complaint for "excessive force, wrongful arrest, and damage to person or property." An Internal Affairs investigation (Case # 202106160002) overseen by Sergeant Lemons was launched on June 16, 2021. By June 28, the police had completed their investigation of themselve. They ruled the complaint unfounded.

Mawyer had another complaint filed against him the previous year.

On March 12, 2020, an Internal Affairs investigation (Case # 201901817) overseen by Sergeant Shaw was launched to investigate a complaint of "assault, illegal search, and harassment" by Mawyer. On April 6, 2020, the Waynesboro, VA Police completed their investigation of themselves and deemed the complaint against them unfounded.

ON March 7, 2019, Zullig was accused of lying and discrimination ("Lying, Racial Profiling, and Discrimination"). The Waynesboro, VA Police Department opened an Internal Affairs investigation overseen by Captain Meeks, who closed the investigation 11 days later and deemed the complaint unfounded.

Armentrout was named in a complaint for "destruction of city property" filed by Sergeant Shaw. An Internal Affairs investigation (Case # 20170912) overseen by Sergeant Lemons was launched on Sept. 12, 2017. By Oct. 17, 2017, the police had completed their investigation of themselves. They ruled the complaint founded.

Internal Affairs data shows that on June 6, 2017 Captain Luzader began investigating a complaint accusing Kimmell of sexual harassment. On July 3, 2017, Internal Affairs closed its investigation (Case #20170606) and ruled the complaint founded in part.

An Internal Affairs investigation (Case # 201508040006) was launched on August 4, 2015 after a complaint of excessive force was filed against Feazell. Captain Oliver oversaw the "investigation," and one day later on August 5 he ruled the complaint unfounded.
