Incident Description
Twenty-year-old Kenneth Sharp was asleep in his car prior to the attack by police. They shot and killed him near the 1900 block of Cedar St. in Richmond, Virginia on March 31, 2024.
The perpetrator was Todd Wesley Hall, a white officer. He was not criminally charged.

Identification made in officer-involved shooting
"Richmond Police detectives have identified the individual in the fatal officer-involved shooting yesterday as Kenneth Sharp, 20, of Richmond. Yesterday [2024-03-28] at approximately 4:58 a.m., officers were called to the 1900 block of Cedar Street for the report of a disturbance with an armed person. Officers arrived on the scene within minutes and located the male suspect, Sharp. After a brief encounter during which Sharp produced a firearm, Sharp was shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries." - RPD
