In January 2023, we requested the following records from the Virginia Department of State Police pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act: "The current roster of sworn officers, sufficient to show each officer's: First & last name, Badge number, Rank, Unit/Assignment, Race/Ethnicity, Gender, Hire Date, 2022 Salary & Overtime Pay." In response, we received the attached file. These records were used to populate the officer profiles in our database.
